PicoIris Aesthetic Laser

PicoIris is the first of a new generation of aesthetic lasers that does not rely solely on heat to burn or dissolve unwanted tattoo ink or melanin, the pigment that causes dark spots on the skin. Instead of storing heat, PicoIris releases energy so quickly (in trillionths of a second) that the tiny particles that make up the pigment and tattoo ink vibrate and shatter without burning the surrounding tissue. Less heat means less tissue damage and discomfort.

The 500pc pulse width of the PicoIris laser is only 1100 of that of a traditional nanosecond laser. The much higher PicoIris speed results in faster removal with less pain and faster healing time.

Only when the pulse width reaches a certain level (800pc) is the above effect achieved. Compared to photo thermal (thermal), the photomechanical effect selects the target more precisely while causing less skin damage, which means that recovery times are shorter and the treatment procedure is more comfortable.

■ Honeycomb FOCUS-Lens (optional) concentrates energy at small points up to 20 times more powerful than a conventional lens, creating LIOB reactions in the dermis, resulting in an increase in collagen and elastin in the skin.
