BCN Peel #02 - Anti-Aging is a chemical exfoliant that combines two alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs): mandelic acid and glycolic acid. It is characterized by an anti-aging effect that restores elasticity and radiance to the skin, and also eliminates fine wrinkles.

Mandelic acid has a larger molecular structure than other AHAs, so it penetrates the stratum corneum more slowly and requires a longer exposure time. For this reason, it does not cause irritation or itching on the skin. In addition, it increases the synthesis of collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans in the papillary dermis.

Glycolic acid is well tolerated by the skin and has a small molecule size. Due to this, it has a large transepidermal penetrating power. Its keratolytic activity contributes to the exfoliation of the superficial layers of the stratum corneum by changing the cohesion of corneocytes. Stimulates cell regeneration, promotes the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, increases the level of hydration of the epidermis and enhances the natural barrier function of the skin. It also promotes the penetration of other acids.
